network connectivity

i have installed a router to connect the out-going network, recently, a low network connectivity icon is shown. how can i do?

router is cable router

I assume you are using normal wired router.
Check the following basic items :
1. Network hardware driver, upgrade version if needed
2. Check network driver config, eg is it running full duplex ? locked at 10M ?
3. Login router and check correct protocol, eg PPPoE ? PPPoP
4. Check router timeout setting, shoud be no time out (always on)
5. Any ports being blocked ?
