agree, the english used in songs are usualy verbal english. they are not quite formal, so it is harder to learn english that way. reading does, because while you are reading you find more and more vocabulary and structures of every sentence.

Most lyrics writer needs to find words or phrases to rhyme or to fit into the tempo. Hence, they may not be the 'proper' English that one should follow. In particular, one should not to put those in written English.

要學oral就睇電視/電影, 但係最好少搵黑人既睇, 如果開會喺度yoyoyo就唔係咁好啦

流行曲歌手發音好多鄉音, 又有懶音, 初學者易學壞. 雖有哩語可學, 但看DVD 學哩語好些.
看BBC, CNN news 學標準發音最好.
但音樂感強的人, 可能可以聽音樂學英語效果佳也不定.

I suggest you learning English by watching english movies,
you can first look at the chinese subtitle, in order to improve your pronunciation
then, choose english subtitle, to learn more vocabulary.
Because sometimes the singer will sing so fast, and it is very difficult to listen clearly.

Agree, only read books and listen songs do not help too much, but watch shows does.
