Depression from break up

I know a girl who broke up about 2 years ago... it was so bad that she was taking depressing pills, going to see a psychiatrist, etc.  I try talking to her and getting her to do things, but she doesn't feel like it.  

What can I do to help her?

well, i dont know. was that her first love?
first love was the most remarkable...

How can you help her if even a professional psychiatrist can't? In any event, does she becomes isolated from all her friends and relatives? If not, my advice is for all of you not to mention that love affairs and treat her like a normal person. The intention is to let her forget that event and concentrate on her life. You know, sometimes it is the people around her who make her remember that affair. Just treat her like a normal person instead of a sick person.

If she dont want to help hersrlf, no one else can, some1 just so enjoy that being hurt feeling...

[color=Teal]if she's willing to seek help from professionals & willing to take proper medication... it's not too bad..
the worst case is... she hides everything inside and not seeking assistance from professionals.

as her friend, do invite her out for group gatherings, introduce new hobbies to her....
we all went thru some kinda depressions in our life... but when we look back... it's only one of the many things happened in our life... wasn't it???  take it easy and hope your friend will recover soon!
