i speak both+canto+mand.
canto is the most diff for foreigners including Mainland People.

It depends on how hard you work. I have learnt Japanese for 3 and half years, at first I know nothing even a hiragana, but I have passed the JLPT level-2 exam last year.

我覺得日語有三分之一『閩南語』，三分之一『外來語』，三分之一原本的日語，所以用聽得常常能蒙到一些∼，不過真的要學文法，就真的挺困難的。
