Which is the best way transferring images to a computer????
1. Transferring images directly from camera via cable to computer using software provided by the camera manufacturer.
2. Tansferring images using card reader (pull the memory card out of the camera, and then use reader to transfer the images to computer).

It seems like there are no big difference on the results from both method suggested. You may simply choose between which method is easier or less time consuming.

In terms of speed, using a card will be faster. It is also more flexible. Plus you dont put any wear and tear on the camera itself

Hey!
There are some cameras that has a specially fast speed transfer using their own transfer wire to the computer, much faster than using card reader.
One case in mind is the SONY PS camera.
The transfer speed is about 8x faster than using a card reader.

Card reader would b better because it also support other type of memory card. U can transfer ur fren's camera image also. However I suggest you to back up a camera transfer cable put it in ur camera in case u didn't bring card reader at least u hav sumthing back up. In fact using camera transfer image into computer no need driver.
