Why your friend has linked the customer checking and SN? I agree that they have tightened in the custom, but ....

Yes, I usually go through Futin custom, normally if you are carrying nothing, they would not instruct you to go though the X-ray. But now, no matter, you carry anything or not, they instruct you to go through.

My friend, Double -fly man, his car goes through Weatern passage, he had been instructed to be search on last Friday.

Probably, it is due to the opening of Olympic Games 2008 in August.

You may say anything that's illegal is related to the tight control of custom! It should not be only appplied to SN!!

I think the custom check is with nothing regarding to SN activities. Over-cautious would kill!

Not really la......... the strict control is mainly on in-bound to Mailland, I think.

Agree, very often, when leaving China (i.e. coming back to HK), the Chinese custom just wont bother.

You could take the old wong kong custom... this one's control is not strong...
