Haha,  just missed a chance to get the commision. There is no reference for 98 in hk but I believe the resonable price is about 4-5k.

We may go to Mirepoix for our next gathering.

They now changed the format to private party only and we could have a nice dinner party in a cosy environment.  

It probably costs us the same as the one in Chaiwan.  Min. charge outside of Dec is $6,000 but we probably would exceed that anyway.

Could Kenzo, Oncologist, Barton, ah Tai, Lovely Old Playboy, ... confirm their availability on Jan 30 & the # of guests.  

Since max is 14 (and we can stretch it to 16), we can't take on more guests from last time unless there's a drop out.   I am bringing one more guest, hehe.   All men are equal but I think I am more equal than the others since I am making the booking.

The venue is held for us for a day or two.  We need to confirm by Friday and deposit someone's RP100 wine.

u can consider Hermitage, Cote Rotie, Cheteauneu du Pape VV or Ermitage of Chapoutier...many choices. For example, Hermitage La Chapelle 2001 is good choice....;P;P

DJV was talking about La Chapelle 1990 ar, not 2001.

1990 is drinkable now, but still has many years to improve.  RP estimates its life to 2050 !!

If you want French I can bring Beaucastel CDP 1998 (RP95+),it's just entering its drinking window, or I can bring CLONAKILLA 2001 Shiraz Voignier (JH96) which suppose to be one of the best Australia's Cote-Rotie style wine.
