請問....."97靚次伯".......正唔正:wondering:
kenzo1111 2006-8-21 02:03
Lynch Bage 97 should be very open and direct now. Since 97 is not a very successful vantigae, don't expect it can compare with 00 even 95 or 96, however, the price is very reasonable and ready to drink.
I personally will suggest 97 or 99 for immediate drinking.
enjoy it.

ha, i am not tall at all and only have 178cm tall...;P
for the wine around $100....:lol
my choice is all in Park'n shop
Montgras, Los Vasco when on sale...from 138 to $88
Also, the from wine called "Alguilhe" its second wine sale from 149 to $99. only available in superstore. MUST BUY!!!
Also, the Chilean wine called Sunrise, its Cab Sau is the recommendation for 250 wine available in Asia, the best one in the low price category.
Read this Book and available in bookstore even library.
In Watson's wine cellar, i think Aust, Paringa is one of the best buy for daily drinking. It is not easy to find good French wine under $100 ga la. Southern France such as Cote de Rhone may have some good stuff.
try an error la.

Greek Wine
Well.. Declare the conflict of Interest first .... I am the importer of Greek Wines
But honest speaking. I personally love Greek Wines more becuase of Aroma, lasting, smooth & PRICE ...of course
May be I wouldnt want to spend more on the French Wine which I think the price is not worth with the quality. Besides
Greek, I would suggest Italy, Portugal & Australia which are quite good with reasonable price. (depands on which brand)
I realise that most of the people only interested in French wine of course with certain reasons
normally I wouldnt spend more than $200/bottle unless in certain events.
Can tell me by average how many bottle will spend per week ?
kenzo1111 2006-8-27 02:26
No one said we only focus on French wine...
just a place to share experience..better no promotion la.
I have many wine sales friends
kenzo1111 2006-8-27 02:27
they are watching it but never sell things here.
We all have our ideas to buy wine. I like Italian and Spanish wine also and some Washington, NZ and Aust focus on Western AUst

Sorry to create your misunderstanding... thats why I declare the conflict of interest first.
Initially I just express my personal wine favourite instead of promoting anything .
in fact my business nature major for east asia market instead of hong kong.
kenzo1111 2006-8-27 23:50
ok, thx for your honesty, just too new too us, GREEK, theoretically can have good wine if the technology can match such a good climate. Hot, dry and sunny. just like Italy

Hi Kenzo, I like white wine.
What do you suggest for price lower than $500?
I prefer something from Chile or Australia.
kenzo1111 2006-11-12 23:48
Lower than $500?
Chile or Australia white wine can be very pleasant even if u pay only under 200.
For gal, i like German resling kabinet or Spatlase. Around 200 to 300, very good and pleasant. Very charming.
Also, any Gurwerstraminer can be good too. Best from south france such as
ALsace.
I also like New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. Clouldy Bay or Osyter Bay are good choice.
For Austrilian wine, choose Western Austrilian, Voctoria, Claire Valley wine.
I personally have less idea about Chilean white. sorry

Leeuwin Art series Chadonnay probably the best white in Aussie although i have no chance to try it. The price is not expensive and money for value
by the way, wellcome our first gal in this thread and that is good to have gathering wine dinner later.

Join us to the wine tasting and get a Riedel, for free. Each of us got one from last week's tasting.

To get a glass, it all depends if Brother Kenzo1111 has done his due diligence.
How many we taste? We drink up to the limit but not to get drunk. It must have been over 20.
kenzo1111 2006-11-16 01:09
That is just the first 500 tickets with free glass last time from Watson's wine cellar and we were the lucky one to get it.
Girl, spend some money to buy a Bordeaux first. For Schott, it is only about 100.
Last time i have tasted over 50, haha, affecting the taste? better than nothing
to taste. taste from white to red, rinse mouth every time, that is fine.

ok, will check it out later for the glass.
Can tell more about wine? From the start, what basics need to know?
kenzo1111 2006-11-17 00:50
u need a basic wine course woh.
haha, come out and let me teach u.
Buy a book for new drinker or goto library to borrow one.
Need to know the main wine type, red, white, champaigne, dessert wine...
then how to desribe the taste,
First of all, know the grape types.
Then, know the taste of the main grapes. Cabinet sauvignon, merlot, shiraz,
pinot noir, melbec,....
For the white: chadonnay, sauvignon blanc, riesling, semillon, gwerustaminer, pinot gris....
then know the countries
Old world{ French, Italian, Spanish. German.....
New world{ US, Aussie, Chilean, NZ, Argentina,
then draw into details into France, Italian, Aussie, US...as u like.
need to know what is champaigne.
SO complicated, rite?
ANyway, drink more and u will know more...no need to be too theoretical.
Interested to join our gathering?

Good? As good as a Beaujolais Nouveau could be. Can it ever be complex?
I had the Georges Duboeuf but it was kind of pricey at the restaurant. But what the hack. You can only have it once a year.

though a bit late, still want to express my views
for most new world wine, I think vintage is not that important as they irrigation and other "man-made" action are allowed while growing the grape
rather the brand / vineyard is much more important

Hi all,
I am here.
You guys went to the watson's tasting together ? I was there too. What do you guys like.
I tasted an old bottle of burgundy at the corner of the hall. Quite good. And then there was the large format of an Australian wine (Peter Lehmann maybe), very different from regular sized bottle. The most interesting one is the 1993 white from France. Taste of dry rasin.
