I think it is the success of the internet.
The campaign of " Vote for DAB in the exit poll " successfully upset the vote allocation strategy and the DAB lost count.

That's why the DAB heads are so happy at the figures right after the poll and thought they had a landslide victory.
This illusion was the result of many pan-democratic supporters united and answered " DAB " when they were being asked what party they had voted for in the exit poll.
