Brief Report on Two Spas in Guangzhou

I went to Guangzhou for business last week and spent two days there. Knowing the fact that GZ is not famous for KTVs or pubs, my GZ friend and I decided to go to spas instead.

We went to one claimed to be the largest and best decorated spa called
大浪淘沙 at the first night. It is indeed very nice decoration and service quality. The massage was pure and really helped me relax. We spent more than five hours inside. Not bad for RMB425 per person. (The girl served me kept asking which hotel I stayed and hinted she's going to be off very soon. I got a feeling I could bring her back to my hotel if I wished)

The second night we tried another spa called "South America". The hardware and the buffet are a little bit worse than the spa we went the previous day. However, this one did provide HJ service included in the bill of RMB328 per person.

So, brothers can make your own choice depending on the type of service you would prefer!

Sounds great but please advise which area are these spa in GZ!

I would take the 1st BG to Hotel for a shot ! Brave, right ?!:loveeyes:

I can see it is not completely vegi, like the 1st girl is willing to go hotel with him.

Lack of quality in Guangzhou

So far finding quality in Guangzhou is a big problem. The outcall massage services are often rude, low class, deliver bad (ugly!) quality. The health centres in the hotels are more friendly but still quality is not high. Some of the spas are OK but they cost more. How I wish our Shanghai agents start a business in Guangzhou....

South America has two sections, one a real spa, where they ask you to put on a disposable underwear for the massage :Q , and the other the SN place King+Cantona wrote about which comes with HJ :lol

I have been to 水玲瓏 a few times. Very good h/w, massage skills are good..  

I went there on a weekday afternoon and the rate was discounted by 50%!!  I thought it was around 80, inclduing 1.5 hrs massage.    The good thing I like is that there is no need to pay tips....

大浪淘沙 is situated at 珠江新城 and South American is at Binjiang Xi Road.

But my Guangzhou friend claimed 大浪淘沙 provides better service quality. Maybe I would try 水玲瓏 next time.

This is not guaranteed. We had some very nice chating inside the room and the girl seemed interested in finding out whether what I said is true or not.

I agree the outcall agent didn't sound promising. Because I tried the # provided by 老江湖 and the guy picked up the phone was so rude to me. That's why I ended up visiting spas only.

BTW, previously I had only tried health clubs at Baiyun Hotel and Star Hotel. Do you have other recommendations?

There are two more large SN in 珠江新城, named 水匯 and 至尊, former is vegi, latter with HJ.

There are also two "SouthAmerica", the other one is in Airport Road, BaiYun district, this one is better and provide better HJ.

But all SN in GZ are expensive compare to SZ/DG, and provide worse services.

I find most hotels in guangzhou with a health center can send a masseuse up to your room, once they confirm you are a hotel guest (may call back to your room to check). And even if the manager says it is totally vegi, the masseuse will normally offer extra after a while.
远洋 hotel in Huanshi dong lu offers two type - 保健 which include HJ in the price (398) and 东莞一条龙 (898). Both expensive and bad.
