The funny thing is that in US, hardly anyone would 搶 警 槍 – because firearm is easily available to regular Joe. Most of the cop here use Glock 22 (40SW) – and amazingly the “bad guys” are not interested in the 40s… give them the AK and they would be happy. :lol

But in Hong Kong –  .38 is king!  :loveeyes:

Recoil force? Brother beast, do you mean the *recoil impulse* or the *muzzle flip*? :wondering: It is actually two DIFFERENT things.

For the first issue, recoil impulse is a sudden force which pushes back directly to the shooter’s palm after the ammunition has been detonated.

Muzzle flip (or muzzle climb) is a sudden force which lifts up the gun’s muzzle after the bullet left the gun barrel.

It really depends on a gun design and type of operation, say for instance, a .50 Action Express round is definitely more power than a .44 Magnum round, firing a .50AE ammo through a Desert Eagle pistol the shooter surely can feel the big muzzle rise, the recoil impulse however is much softer than firing a .44 Mag round through a Smith & Wesson M29 revolver.

The original High Power was designed for shooting 9X19mm Luger ammunition, in the mid 90s Browning company starts manufacturer the same pistol which shoots the more powerful .40 Smith & Wesson round.

The larger caliber pistol use a thicker (and heavier) slide, and using stronger recoil spring, in order to accept the powerful .40 S&W ammo.

o向朋友農場樹射 browning 瞄正就一定打左o向上面, 個 friend 話握槍方法唔o岩就係咁. 我覺得一射時recoiling把支槍往上移. 射幾個clips個虎口都紅曬.  大家都係9x19 反之 glock 17就冇咁難控制, 好似傻瓜機咁用幾次就掌握到.

仲有佢支 browning 試過一cock就走火, 好彩冇事, 佢話 browning o既安全設計冇 glock 咁好. 條友話支野玩左成十年, 係時候掛佢上牆樹.

I can only think of some old Lee Enfield or Webley revolver in .38 or .455 caliber......:L:L

In early 90s a British ccompany made a pistol called "Spitfire", it is basically a copy from the Chech Republic (former Chechoslovakia) CZ75.

Few weeks ago went to the range and have a chance to shoot and compare side by side about the performance of the following four 9mm pistols. Glock 17, SIG P226, with my friend's SIG P228 and CZ75.

Feeling of felt recoil is:
CZ75 > SIG P228 > SIG P226 > Glock 17

Feeling of muzzle flip (muzzle climb) is:
SIG P228 > SIG P226 > CZ75 > Glock 17

No wonder had heard from many firearms instructors said Glock pistol is the most easiest gun to shoot. :P

This is a very common problem to Browning HP shooters which has a big and thick mussle hand, getting *hammer-bite* during the recoil. That's why many people modified the hook type hammer, or change it to a round one.

上星期上機見到藍精靈都係用 glock, 十幾年前佢地好似都係 browning.

今日玩完 .45 好有失敗感, 好似點射都唔中咁, 20m 打左成排子彈至有兩粒打中把邊. 都係 9mm 易d.

ASU and SDU operators had already changed their sidearm from Browning High Power to Glock 17 since early 21 centry. :victory::victory:

In recent years SDU had also adopted the Insight Technology M3X (water proof) tactical light for their diving unit. :reading::soldier:

Practise makes perfect, it takes a lot of ammunition shooting to become a good (pistol) shooter.

Few months ago I saw a new beginner using a Glock who has many rounds missing the target at only 10 meter distance........:jaw::L.......:quiet:

今日去申請槍牌, 10年大約700幾 hkd. 不過只可以買 rifle, shoot gun 同 sport pistol (非常小口徑果種). 我個朋友原來係呢度某槍會o既榮譽會員, 所以至申請到買槍放o向屋企. 佢個 shed 成個軍火庫咁, 可惜佢唔比影相, 佢話 security issue. 今日發槍牌o既警察都識得佢, 叫唔好再買咁多槍啦, 檢查佢果度好waste time.

佢邊間槍會呀?這個可以講"掛"
