香港所謂搞航運中心,只著重吹水業務, 重心訓練高級海員(伙長)卻放鬆手腳, 因為VTC出手低,如果無人肯嚟教, 誰之過? 今年學校少人可以去到船, 姓董既只請我哋一個,嗰個仲要係靠關係, 其餘五個就去一間加拿大公司做, 呢間重要以前係無請過我哋學生, 現在連理大物流也要同我哋爭, 問題我校收生只係中五, 雖然論堅既,我哋都有會考8A, 唔少大學生, 但係行船只係靠學歷, 唔係靠學識同智慧(學歷以外),一樣死得.

IMO , BIMCO, ITF 都話退休人多, 海員奇缺, 現欠约3.5萬人, E+D船日新月異,
舊人已接唔上, 要是港校如此不長進, 而你又有決心在此行業發展,
不如趁有幾年美金弱勢去CALIFORNIA MARITIME ACADEMY,
MAINE MARITIME , US MERCHANT  MARINE ACADEMY修讀咪仲好。

何老兄, 响美國讀花旗牌, 香港係唔認呢架, 所以多數人有心考張好嘢,多數都係去英國讀,不過一年full-time都要二三十萬港紙,因為英旗夠照, 當年香港貴為英旗其中一個註冊港,考官最為玩嘢,比祖家有過之而無不及, 至於共和國海事局的牌,不要也罷 :lol   

本港海員訓練最大問題不是硬件,而是香港青年不願用十年青春去奮鬥, 加上很難收到有決心响行業發展既人,  港童對學習係缺乏主動性, 航海不只是好似嗰啲神童咁,幾多歲就可以讀完學士,碩士咁, 行業知識,人情世缺, 缺一不可, 所以航海係比很多大學科目更加難但更有趣

港青追逐是[size=4][b]職業[/b][/size], [size=5][color=red][b]事業[/b][/color][/size]則無從說起, 兩者分別大矣哉 ！

:lol  祝老何兄身壯力健,長賺長有, 此船有帆船之美, 劃時代科技, 但這種SQUARE RIG不是一般睇AMERICAN CUP的超時空比賽帆船, 操控方面更有挑戰性, 可憐當年香港OUTWARD BOUND也有志風的SQUARE RIG 船,但後來賣咗, 再買番隻68呎的OCEAN YACHT, 百多年前考伙長試仲分機動船及帆船, 到現在英國的NAUTICAL INSTITUTE 還舉辦這類船的CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY EXAMS, 我都望有朝一日能上這類船的COURSE. 總算邊工作邊娛樂嘛:verygood:

92年回港後, 覺得港人得個「浮」字。Square Rig乃基礎也。
雖則老何唔知有'志風', 惟不合港情, 有關當局, 棄之以合潮流而矣。
老何於異域謀生時, 常與洋人出海, 最能領會的是團隊精神, 此亦不合港情, 說之�憭f水。
一事你可能不知, 馬達加斯加土人造船造詣, 一流。平靚正！

:lol  SUE姐有咩冒犯可言, 只係香港枉為亞洲國際都會,但向無國際視野, 再者現在學校已經多了非香港既船公司有興趣請香港學生, 只係能否提高學生的興趣, 不是香港學生差,只是欠決心和努力, 因為對中國人嚟講,行船係苦差, 如果唔係大明艦隊早就行咗地球幾個圈呀, 對我個人嚟講, 香港航運業其次, 自己能爭一席位, 已難能可貴, 至於開拓學習風氣, 不是用枝槍指住你個頭就做到;P

其實賣咗佢,除咗當年金融風暴, 大家手頭緊之外, 最重要現今行船界唔係好多有操控 SQUARE RIG 船既知識, 一架二百幾米既貨櫃船, 行25KNOTS, 走得仲快過颱風, 就算撞到正, 正如我學校有個阿SIR講"猛虎硬闖山,照砌可也", 加上現在OUTWARD BOUND 連請SKIPPER 去管新買嗰艘SAILING YACHT 都請唔到人, 因為玩呢啲要有豐富知識,經驗同無畏精神,無呢啲特質就唔係叫玩船,係叫玩命.

此類航海訓練實不合現今香港社會情況, ;中產父母肯放心讓兒女去冒險,大海茫茫,順天而行, 其實有很多公司大老闆都愛好帆船玩意, 如練乙錚也是發燒友.
英末落帝國流行帆船玩意, 在香港只是貴族玩意, 航海訓練實比現在教育局所謂的全人發展科的好處更多, 最少不是玩完就算, 一樣學到軟硬知識
