Don't speculate la young kid, it's just reflex
It's typical and normal to say "下星期再見" instead of announcing self's departure during breakfast casts like these
To announce self's departure from newsroom during air time is not exactly professional behaviour

I think you do not know that it is common for anchor to say some words for departure during air time of his/her last presentation in the TV station. Such habit is even more common in Europe and America.

Actually, I know, I've seen it overseas
But this is HK, NOT Europe, US etc., some newsroom culture (eg. relaxed attitude during announcing and interacting with co-anchors) just doesn't work here
Adopting the said newsroom culture in the HK situation, without prior planning etc., can backfire and only makes the outcome more ugly

This really depends on the ethics of the editors above the frontline tabloid staff
