Chateau St.-Pierre 2003
Last night uncorked this bottle. St.-Pierre is a rather obscure chateau in St.-Julien, which is the first time I came across with. The price of the wine is cheap, which only costs $3XX, but considering the vintage that favours the left bank and pretty good comment from RP, I think she worths a try,
TN: Deep purple in color, almost opaque, a classic cab sauvignon nose, peppery, in mouth, quite full body, muscular, a very obvious chocolate taste, it tails off with medium finish. At first, the wine is quite closed, but after an hour's breathing , the wine begins to blossom and shows much depth. If you want delicacy and finesse, this wine may not suit you.
