old DELL pc need help

Deal All,

My old DELL Dimension 3000 cannot read CD suddenly, both CD R/W and DVD ROM cannot read a simple audio CD!
I check My Computer.........the driver is gone, but no help after download from DELL, even replace the IDE cable still no help too.

Any advice

DVD and CD drive usually doesn't require drive
your drive should have some hardware problem, not software lol

I have try another DVD ROM but still haveing the same problem :funk:
Then I try un-install and re-install the DVD ROM get the following error message !!! :L

Thanks to the replied.

Finally after replace the HDD my old DELL computer back to normal, now I disconnect the CD-ROM(DVD ROM remains) and use the old HDD as a storage device.
