Chateau Pichon Lalande 2006
I'm a big fan of this super second so I'm rather thrilled to have a chance to taste this new wine. I'm following this chateau although she suffered from some hiccups in the nineties.
TN: Dark crimson in colour, oaky, very strong cassis nose, medium-full bodied, the wine isn't very tannic as expected, the fruit and the tannins marry so well that the wine is very delicious. Finally the wine tails off with a medium finish. I can't deny that the wine was opened too early but our purpose is trying to project its window of drinkability. All in all, it is a nice wine and has potential even though the vintage is not outstanding.
