但係條山市街口 d 石級咁企，唔駛錢都唔敢坐。

講返以下幅照片，有樣野想請教一下，聖彼得堂位處靚地，
點解會俾番政府起七號差館？因為向來教會都會堅守陣地，
或者和地產商合作發展，我真係百思不得其解。

如果唔拆，我相信個教堂和尖塔都會成為地標。

看過一些有關Jardine的文章, 西區St. Peter's Church及Sailor Home是Jardine的物業, 實情查冊先知。

另從Christ Church 轉錄以下一段文字, 該地段乃私人物業但冇提及是誰擁有。

那時候莫講話山邊，就算市區行人路有條罅都有人搭木屋。

天后柏景台起好，山邊木屋都未清拆晒。

搵到份銀行工，月薪700 左右，部分俾左屋企後自己啱啱夠使，仲要儲錢娶
老婆，結婚時一舖洗清，無錢買樓，租樓都好貴，唯有叫老婆捱住先，一齊
痞天棚，佢咁都肯制，真係傻得可愛。個陣時旅行渡蜜月都無錢，唯有近近
地去廣東肇慶，重記得當時見到「掃街茂」一齊過關，那時候大家的環境都
唔慌好得去邊。

過左幾年，老婆有左，都想置業，睇中一層樓，要97,400，但全無首期，點
算，好彩地產有一付款辦法幾好，售期一成，另外一成分10期月供，於是問
老豆借左幾千蚊，然後每個月供974元，那時月入一千，唯有同屋企講要黐
食黐住。

餘下八成問公司做職員貸款，利息都算平，但月供都接近500，初時都要偷
偷地分租一間房俾人，以減輕負擔，而家回想起來都覺得辛酸。

有時和朋友講起，一世人，一份工，一個老婆，會不會太平淡了？
我唔識答。

my wife always say in the old days when we were so poor
she thought buying a vitasoy to drink is the world's utmost enjoyment
and that she could only do  this very occasionally
