Chateau Lascombes 03'

This is the second time to have this wine. Dark purple in colour, fragrant, oaky, quite full-bodied, rich mid-palate, ripe tannins, coffee taste, not very complex but giving a long aftertaste. Consistent performance.

03' is a very hot and dry vintage. Only the thick-skinned Cabernet Sauvignon could stand for the drought. In my previous tastings, wines of left bank were much better.

Lascombe is easy drinking and very full as a Parker wine, just.......no longer a Marguax wine.   It is more expensive after 2000.
anyway, it is very forward, just dun expect too much, it tastes well.

i tried all the vintages after 2000, but not too impressive as the acidity is a bit too low for me
last year tried a bottle of 1975 which was excellent
firm with ripe berries, coffee, mineral, especially like her nose of preserved citrus skin (果皮)and the some dates, one of the wine of 2009 for me:verygood:

Today's wine is no more classic la, most of them were made to drink young. Where can I find the old school bordeaux?
