世紀大賽 (Match of the century)

1953年11月25日, 在�鄍牲y國家運動場, 由名將比利胡禮 (英格蘭第一名100頂�痟U球員) 和馬菲士 (1956年第一屆歐洲足球先生) 領軍的英格蘭在主場十萬名球迷面前,被由匈牙利球王普斯卡斯領軍的匈牙利-魔法的馬札爾人 (The Magical Magyars), 以六比三擊敗,
終結了球史上英格蘭在主場�鄍牲y從末輸過的不敗紀錄 (九十多場), 史稱此場比賽為世紀大賽 (Match of the century)

半年後, 英格蘭在1954年5月23日作客布達佩斯, 矢志報仇, 作客布達佩斯, 匈牙利卻再大勝7比1,
代表了英格蘭人發明的WM陣式的時代結束, 取而代之是匈牙利人發明的4-2-4陣式.
