中電信(0728)越升越有,股價升幅擴大至13%現報3.92元,創新高,成交達11億元。另一隻內地固網股網通(0906)現報16.20元,升8.3%。
市場憧憬內地發 3G 牌,中電信及網通將可發展成綜合電訊服務供應商,與中移動(0941)及聯通(0762)可一較高下。另外,中電信亦可能會發 A 股集資以發展 3G 網絡,市場可能會因而重估中電信及網通的估值。

Today's drop is the HS index is just another adjustment.  The stock markets in Europe and the DOW future index are slightly up now.  Big fall in the market is not expected.

We always look at the stocks from hindsight and say they are either too cheap or too expensive.  The stocks in HK will still be running good because of the China factor.  Foriegn money swamps on every investment opportunity in China mainland (currency and stocks), and the China stocks still seem cheap compared with other emerging market in the world, e.g. India, Brazil, Vietnam etc.  HK is still a most convenient place to trade China stocks.  Hence, the market will grow strong until mid next year.   Of course, one can not predict what Chinese authority will do to curb the stock market if it goes too cracy some day.

The one thing that an investor should probably avoid touching now is the 3G concept. Look at Hutchson, it has burnt so much cash, and yet its 3G business is still far away from making profit.

On Friday Dec 15th, the joke of the market was that Hutchson wanted to sell off its 3G business to China Mobile, and that story actually took 0941 price down significantly in the afternoon. As much as a joke it was, think of how market reacted to the thought of 0942 buying up Hutchson's 3G businss, investors voted with their foot - running away from it!

3G concept IMHO is some real :fire::shit: that people shouldn't even come close to it.

I think retail will be the next wave which can be benefitiary under the Olympic concept. We have already seen Chinese financials going up on Monday and Tuesday, so one may consider this sector has already been "rotated in". Oil share price will probably be sluggish as oil price is sluggish. So I will bet on retail.

But hey, may be the market will soon burst before the next wave come. :afraid::afraid::afraid:
