This kind of style is just NORMAL in esp. the US news media
Local HK news outlets should adopt to that open style too, but TVB/ATV are IMO too conservative in certain values in news/media

HK is a melting pot.  People should respect different cultural values and styles in the professional workplace

No, unfortunately that does not work in Chinese stations.
Openness in communication is just not a Chinese thing... totally contradicts Chinese values

Even Chinese stations overseas (eg. [url=http://www.ktsf.com/cn/index.html]KTSF San Francisco[/url]) cannot adopt the western newsroom style
Therefore it's always boring to watch Chinese news programs anywhere in the world

係呀，中文台主播比較保守…內地中央台d主播報新聞真係超悶…:L :L
不過香港算好…有線好早就將新聞改革…重視pesentation…主播同主播之間增強了互動性…依家tvb都響d方面加強左…
中文新聞依家已經冇咁悶，不過始終跟西方文化唔同…
我覺得已經相當不錯
