can anyone please explain to me what is the black CELLPHONE sized thing on US army's left chest, I've saw it on most war movies.

Do you have any photos ?
What era ?
World war 2 ? Europe Theatre  ( if yes do you mean a flash light ? )
Korean War ?
Vietnam War ?
Gulf War 1 ?
Gulf War 2 ?

It is the soldier's Inter-squad Communication Radio.

USMC Inter-squad Communication Radio :soldier:

The US Army F3 Inter-squad Communication Radio:soldier:

Or, the Motorola MX300R Speaker/Microphone, with PTT (Push-To-Talk) switch? :wondering:

Note, this Speaker/Microphone was being used by the Army Ranger in the movie "Black Hawk Down". :soldier:

If none of the above, I would be grateful if you can let me know you saw that equipment in which movie, so that I could try to capture the picture and check out what exactly it is, thanks! :givemefive:

呢 D 野 硬係問阿 SIG 博士啦！
不過我都知到小小 美國佬多數都係用毛記機,如 HT 1000,及(saibar)之類,唔知有無串錯,知到就請指正 o下....
點解會用到架仔的~ icom機！:wondering:

因為香港差人都係用軍用機的！
