Time to call HSBC, afterall, X'mas is near!

I just bought HSBC call this afternoon,,, it is the real thing to win BIG, not petty IPO drawing for dinner buffet  :P


1. no further bad news for HSBC la,,,

2. no pressure from warrant dealers too this few days,,,

3. Some technical indicators will look positive in a day or two if HSBC stands at 141.x

First target: 145

Follow at your own risk!

P.S. Today my call went up almost 5%,,, let watch tonite ADR, HSBC in UK is doing okay,,,

Good call ;P

But just remember the long holiday is coming up. You might lose on delta if the price is not volatile

Buy HSBC at Xmas time is a historical phenomenon. In the old days, THE ONLY choice of all time was HSBC, not now.

agree,,,, so only a few out of hundred of HSBC's calls are worth holding for days or weeks,,, your job to find them out, and I have done hours and hours of hard work to get a good pick,,, low premium, low IV,

For my call, any 1 dollar raise in HSBC will give me 12-16% profit and vice versa for its drop,,,

Merry Christmas to all,,, It is indeed one of the best time to call HSBC,,, this March I called it from 127.x to +136 (getting over 100K profit); then during summer,,, from 133.x to 140,,, and recently from 144 to historical high,,,

Now I'm expecting hsbc to go up from 141 to +145 for a potential of few dozen K profit,,,

P.S. Warrant is an unfair games, I know it better than 99.9% of warrant players, but it could also be a sensible investment with the right calls/puts and good timing,,,

With all the attention now centred on the mainland stocks, the performance of HSBC may not be that good as in previous years.  I am holding some HSBC shares, but will not buy more, as I donot expect it to rise drastically in the months to come.

Yes - I agreed. With so many options and HSBC requiring large outlay, I will definitely stay clear unless it gets back to @$133 to $135 range.:lookaround::reading::dizzy::soldier::hamsup:

Perhaps you want to consider US$ based ELM of HSBC, anything equivalent to HK$138 or below is a good buy.

Thanks for the comments and responses,,, but you folks' understanding of the price trend and mechanics of hsbc was too simplistic,,,, I have tracked HSBC's price, warrant factors, global performance, big hongs' action for a couple of years very intensively,,, about 80-90% of my warrant play on HSBC had sizeable profit,,,

I'd bought + 60K of 1357 last friday around .82-.84,,, target price after xmas is +1.1,,, if you folks don' like to call HSBC to get profit for x'mas gift, that's fine,,, afterall, warrant is a unfair game and dealers are hard to beat or from which to squeeze profit,,, :D:D:D

Let wait 1-2 weeks to let the fact speaks for itself,,,

From my years of HSBC warrant experiences,,, concerted dealers' involvement can account for 30-70% of changes in the stock price when street volume of warrants are substantial,,,

Let's wait, it seems not the right time to buy now. :victory:

My call is still making decent profit,,, today try to buy more but HSBC is too strong around 142,,, no chance to drop further,,,,

My target price for HSBC at the end of 2006 is still +144, let wait and see,,,,

You never know. Perhaps you are better off now by selling off all Chinese shares. :D

today my hsbc call goes up +10%,,, 15K profit on book,,,, but the best is yet to come,,,

Lots of short selling going on with HSBC today, over 300million...

HSBC went up about 2 dollars since I recommended it,,, no big deal with stock holding, but my calls already went up +15% (+20K profit),,, will take half of the profit when HSBC reaches 145,,,

Just so so when you consider all H stocks warrants went up 2 or 3 times!! :lol;P:P:hamsup:

yes,,, but +25K profit with less than 150K input within 2 weeks is not bad,,, :)

Input 150K, Gain 25K in 2 weeks, 17% profit, very well indeed

It is hardly a surprising news,,, the drop since late November to mid-December already reflect their relatively weak European and American performance la,,, :)

not bad la,,, I put 4 times more monies into HSBC 1357 call and gets about 3 times your profit,,,, but you should get about 15K profit tomorrow when HSBC reaches +145.5 tomorrow morning,,,,

I will take half of the profit (25-30K) if HSBC sees 145.5,,, and probably hold the rest till maturity,,,,

My further comment,,,

my first target will be reached again tomorrow morning,,, probably around +145.5, then take 25-30K profit,,,

Second target is 148-150,,,, I'll probably take the rest of the profit,,, [another 50-60K]

But honestly I do believe that HSBC 2006's performance is far better than all big hongs' reports, I glanced at a few of them and they are extremely conservative [even those suggesting +160 target price],,,

So before the end of March,,, HSBC may break all time high after people cashing in their Chinese stocks and buy the most reliable elephant with its unexpectedly good report on the 2006's 4th quarter,,, And If US interest rate starts dropping,,, the momentum could be enormous,,,,

Time will tell,,, no need to argue,,,

my 1357 la,,, around 1.1 still have 25-50% profit potential to take in coming 2 months,,,

worth medium term holding and cut-loss when hsbc dropped below 143 for 15% losses,,,,

almost no premium, so no manipuation through changing i.v.
