I am still thinking the main problem is NOT the oil problem :reading::reading::reading:
In HK, it is quite warm and hot, too thick oil may NOT be a good choice :wondering::wondering::wondering:

I have the new E90 330i and the engine oil do drop after few thousand km. Don't listen to the service centre change oil every 15000km. It is because the purchase price including the oil service and they don't want you to come back. I change my oil every 5000km. Do it outside. It cost around HK$800 with "A" grade oil. It will be much better for your car.
BM Service is only good for changing parts. If you are under warranty. Do go back there to change parts since it is free. But don't trust them on anything under the hood. A lot more engineers out there is better than them.
