MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPANのMCには、イベントの趣旨に賛同したAKB48が決定した。最優秀ミュージックビデオを決定する各カテゴリーのノミネーション、投票・観覧応募方法、出演アーティストなどに関しては、近日発表予定。イベントの模様は、日本ではMTVの約770万世帯の視聴者へ生中継されるほか、アジア地域での生中継が決定している。また、全世界のMTVを通じ約6億世帯の視聴者へ向けて後日放送される予定だ。
