[b]YMOのサンフランシスコ公演をWOWOW開局記念で無料放送[/b]
10月1日と2日に行われる「WOWOW大開局祭」の一環として、Yellow Magic Orchestraが6月27日にアメリカ・サンフランシスコのウォーフィールドで行ったライブの模様がWOWOWで無料放送されることが決定した。
31年ぶりのアメリカ公演として、前日のハリウッドボウルに続いて行われたこのライブ。小山田圭吾、権藤知彦、クリスチャン・フェネスをサポートメンバーに迎え、クールな照明の中で「FIRECRACKER」「BEHIND THE MASK」「LOTUS LOVE」「TOKYO TOWN PAGES」「RYDEEN 79/07」などを演奏した。
「WOWOW大開局祭」はハイビジョン3チャンネルの開局を記念して行われる、WOWOW史上最大となる36時間の無料放送。YMOサンフランシスコ公演の映像はこの無料放送期間内にオンエアされる。
