sharp 廣告 i see beautiful

近期見到sharp sell 自己既 LCD mon o個陣用o個句 slogan 係:

I see beautiful.

我就覺得佢grammar 錯左, 但我心諗咁大個brand d 野冇咩理由連句slogan都錯到咁,
唔知有冇人知其實係咪可以咁用既呢?

:wondering:

The full sentence should be: "I see, beautiful."  Now, for slogan usage, the comma is understood, and can be left out.:reading:

I entirely agree with the explanation of Brother Koolaar.

If translate it into Cantonese, I reckon that "I see" shouldn't be like"I understand" or " I know".    I would like to take it as "Wow or Look"

如果將它譯成中文,會是 : " 嘩、正:verygood:。"

其實好多SLOGAN的文法都是錯的, 它們著重是順口和好聽

I would tend to think that 'I see beautiful' means 'I see beautiful things (in it)'.
Not that it is ungrammatical, but it is a condensed rendering.

actually, lots of notice boards, Ads, even magizines contained faluse grammar in HK...........some kind
of reflection!

The McDonald's slogan 'I 'm lovin' it' is yet another play with/deviation from regular grammar. Normally verbs of likes and dislikes don't take
continuous forms. The slogan seems to say 'I 'm in love with it', using
'lovin' ' typical of lyrics.

We can stretch established grammar rules especially in poetry and creative writing but there is a limit to doing so. If problems in understanding or undesirable ambiguity arises, the deviation does not work.
