劇情簡介：
本片改編自同名暢銷小說，耗資8千萬美元拍攝，《奔騰年代》導演蓋瑞羅斯最新作品，《X戰警：第一戰》珍妮佛勞倫斯主演。
在北美洲這塊廢墟大陸上，有個新興國家「施惠國」。國內有十二個行政區，以及一座被行政區圍繞的富饒都城。至高無上且專制殘酷的都城，每年逼迫十二行政區交出12歲至18歲的少男少女各一名，投入一年一度的「飢餓遊戲」，並以電視實況轉播，藉此恐怖手段來維持威權統治以及國家秩序。
