劇情 Plot / Synopsis
90 minutes follows three Norwegian families at home in their expensive, stylish apartments. Reminiscent of the Scandinavian equivalent to the American dream, the apartment walls are all painted white, the furniture is perfectly arranged and everything is symmetrical, perpendicular and parallel. But what these homes also have in common is that something terrible is about to happen in each of them – in 90 minutes. The husband of each home has recently suffered some ordeal and in reaction turns to brutal violence against members of his own family. The film follows these men in their last 90 minutes, “while they are still human”, as director Eva S?rhaug puts it. Ultimately we witness the senseless acts of assault, rape and murder, portrayed with a cold neutrality that makes them all the more difficult to watch. These crimes occur within the barriers of the white-painted walls that seem to entrap each character, out of sight from the civilized society that surrounds them.
