其實自動步槍同機關槍有何分別

是否自動步槍可以較連射或單射﹐但機關槍就不得。

1) Almost all heavy and medium machine guns, and many light ones, have quick interchangeable barrels.

2) The feeding system of almost all medium and heavy machine guns is build around belted (or linked) feed ammunition.

Some light machine guns often employs the magazine feeding system, using the standard *assault rifle* style box magazines for 30-45 rounds each or hi-capacity drum or dual drum (e.g. Beta-C Mag and others) magazines for 50-100 rounds each.

In light machine guns, that were made based on assault rifles, magazines usually exchangeable between light machine gun and assault rifle. Good examples are AK and RPK Russian, Steyr AUG Austrian and L85/L86 British systems. Some light MGs such as FN Minimi/M249 are dual-feed and can use belts or box magazines without any modifications.

3) It is depanding on one machine gun design, some MGs are having a selector which is able to fire in single shot mode or full auto (e.g. German WWII MG34, or modern H&K 21), or some which can be fire in full auto only (e.g. German WWII MG42, or modern MG3).

机枪枪管厚重，机匣牢固，适合长时间连发射击。普通自动步枪则不适合长时间连发射击。以81步枪为例，连续发射300发后就要冷却枪管了，否则射击精度大幅下降。
