my personal experience

I stayed at Royal Plaza Hotel last X'mas.  It's on the top of a shopping center next to the Mongkok KCR station.  About 10 minutes walk from the Mongkok MTR station.
My Windows can see part of the 拔萃男校.  Pretty good location and envirnoment.  You can enter the hotel from the Shopping Mall or from 太子道. CAN$140 for a 3 beds room during X'mas.  So I think April will cost less.

3 stars hotel

I also stayed at 京港酒店 3 years ago, close to Nathan Road and 茘枝角道, I think it is called Metro Park now.  3 min from 太子 MTR.  CAN$80 a night.  The bed are comfortable and the room is OK. The windows is painted dark so you cannot see outside.  (I think the other side of the hotel which facing 茘枝角道 is better.)  The location is convenience.

Another one I stayed is called Kimberley Hotel at TST, Kimberley Road.  5 min walk to the MTR. The location is even more convenience.  The room is OK and the Chinese restaurant in the hotel is pretty good.  Also there are lots of other choices of restaurant in the neighbourhood.  I think it's about CAN$80 to $100 during X'mas.
