Eurovision Song Contest

還有人記得 Eurovision Song Contest 嗎? 正式中文譯名不知道, 當年在香港的電視也有轉播, 大多數歐洲國家都會派代表參賽, 參與的歌手或組合都是成名人物, 絕非泛泛之輩, 歌曲都是全新的作品, 得獎的歌曲大多都十分流行, 是每年的盛事. 可能現在香港沒有轉播, 近年的得獎歌曲在香港都不大受到注目, 較受歡迎的好像只有 TATU 的得獎歌. 現在就由小弟找一些當年流行一時的得獎和參賽歌曲同大家分享, 英文歌當然優先啦!:D

1974年, 得獎歌 Waterloo, 由瑞典組合 Abba 主唱, 令本已在瑞典極紅的組合成為世界寵兒. Uknowzip 兄的帖子第六頁已詳盡介紹 , 我不再重複. 只選了一個片段貼上, 一個較詳盡的版本

主辦國-英國, 出動了 Olivia Newton-John 主唱 Long Live Love, 當時 ONJ 已有數支歌曲打入美國榜十大. 雖然敗於 Waterloo, 但不失為一首好歌, 是我今次向大家的推介.

既然AK417兄點左出泥, 就講下喱支歌. 時光倒流, 再回後四年, 1970年, 主辦國- 荷蘭, 由來自愛爾蘭代表 Dana主唱 All kinds of everything奪得冠軍寶座. 和曾介紹的 74年兩支歌曲不同, 74年兩支歌都是輕快, 熱鬧的, 有著流行曲的元素. 個人覺得 All kinds of everything 像民歌多過流行曲, 有著愛爾蘭歌曲的一貫味道. 我的至愛歌手 Chris de Burgh 也是愛爾蘭歌手.:applause:

多謝AK417兄, Tie A Yellow Ribbon 並非 Eurovision 歌曲, 而且在 Uknowzip兄的帖子已介紹過, 在此不談. 至於 Save Your Kisses For Me 遲些再談.

由於 Abba 奪標後好歌一首接一首, 紅遍整個地球, 所以 Eurovision Song Contest 更受注意. 在瑞典首都, 斯德哥爾摩, 舉辦的 1975 年Eurovision Song Contest, 荷蘭代表歌曲 Ding Dinge-Dong (或叫 Ding A Dong) 成為冠軍, 歌曲由荷蘭本土樂隊 Teach-in主唱. 又是一支輕快, 熱鬧的歌曲, 但歌曲稍為缺乏深度, 雖有著流行的本錢, 卻難成為經典金曲. Teach-in 在Ding Dinge-Dong 後更無以為繼, 未能步 Abba 後塵, 登入世界級殿堂.:L

上文說過1975 年 Teach-in 的Ding Dinge-Dong 稍為缺乏深度, 雖有著流行的本錢, 卻難成為經典金曲. 基本上Eurovision Song Contest 重點是注重歌曲會否流行, 選出每年的 Song for Europe 都是 easy listening. 同年英國代表, The Shadows, 主唱的 Let me be the one, 也是一首不錯的流行歌曲, 緊次於冠軍歌位列第二.  當年也有不少香港的本土樂隊翻唱此曲.

Jet 不是 Eurovision Song Contest 的參賽歌, Paul MaCartney & The Wings 從未出席 ESC.

英國在1974年 (Olivia Newton-John 的 Long Live Love) 及 1975年 (The Shadows 的 Let me be the one) 連續兩年屈居亞軍, 終於在1976年重溫冠軍滋味, 得獎歌就是上邊 AK417兄說過 save your kisses for me. 由英國樂隊 Brotherhood Of Man 主唱 (70年代是樂隊的世界, 香港當時也是一樣, 真是潮流興夾 band). 又是一支輕鬆, 鬧哄哄, 聽一次便上口的歌. Brotherhood Of Man 雖然在奪冠後在英國持續附強勢, 但始終未能成功走入世界樂壇.
