The system date/time
Ask for help please !!
my Operating system is window xp home edition. Why when everytime I first start my computer everyday I need to adjust the date/time and the brightless of the screen ??? Please if anyone know how to fix it up.

You are running out of battery in the motherboard.
So u need to open the case, replace the mercury battery in the motherboard which has the size of "one dollar coin".

No, my computer is a Compaq Presario notebook computer, not a desk top computer. So anyone know what is the problem?

If still under warranty, call Compaq.
But why use Compaq? I'll prefer DELL as it will provide maintainance service at your home.
If expired, then need to open the case and replace the battery yourself.
The one of the battery's functions is to keep the system time.

There is a freeware to download, named similar to Atomic Clock (search with google).
Once your computer is connected into internet, the resident progm will check with
the outside atomic clock server and update your system time.
