vancouver has been always voted number one city in the world in most catagories,  it is still a nice
enough  place to live.
one enjoys its freedom, clean air and water, the beautiful scenic and all.

sorry if i'm not inclined to believe that advertising BS, it's probably spread by some self-proclaimed banana who's lived their life hanging out at the chinese-only malls around Garden City rd. and haven't willingly talked to a white folk in the entire time they've immigrated there.

vancouver is better than most places, and it's still a very scenic spot for filming, but still, a lot of problems has to do with racial segregation, and the municipal & provincial government is doing jack sh*t about it.  it was bad during the HK exodus between 1989-1993, and it's even worse now with all the hermit-like mainland chinese moving in.  red and blue have moved in to take advantage of the situation, not to mention viet gangs are becoming more prevalent, the 40 to 1 house afghans aren't helping much with highschool violence.  no one's solving the problems of rising numbers in child prostitution at the industrial area behind chinatown, the redlight industries(which are a good front for drug running) on E. Kingsway, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

oh, and i wouldn't trust the tap water.
