Born the 11 january 1945 in Lengdorf, Austria, from a German father and a French mother, Christine Maria Kaufmann entered very soon in an artistic field. In fact, she was a ballerine at the M▋chen Opera.
She started her movie career at 7 years old, in 1952, in a German film which English title is "The White Horse Inn".
The movie which brought her fame in Germany is "Rosen-Resli", released in 1954, when she was only 9.
She married Tony Curtis in 1963. They met during the filming of Taras Bulba. They had two daughters, Alexandra (1964) and Allegra (1966), and divorced in 1968. Christine went into her career again, she had interrupted all along her marriage. It's a pity, as she started to be internationnaly known because of her character in "Town without pity" with Kirk Douglas.
She is also a successful businesswoman promoting her own cosmetic products line that sells well in Germany. She authored several books about beauty and health. She speaks three languages: Deutsch, English, French, and understand two others: Italian and Spanish.
