Middle class 中產

I just watched les mis and I've come to the conclusion that the middle class was created to eradicate the potential of social and political uprising=revolution.  The middle class has enough or too much to lose in the case of revolution.  The lower class or the masses want a clean slate or even communism because they have nothing to lose.  The upper class wants stability to ensure their well-being yet they are the few so they require a buffer, which is the middle class to shore up this social hierarchy.  There are the romantic types of the upper class where they yearn for the love and support of the masses, which occasionally brings forth the leaders of these movements but they are few.
