社會科學是一個總稱，總括就是一些人與社會不同範疇的關係的學問，例如會有政治學、社會學、心理學、地理學等等

Pig tend at look at Social Science this way.

Social Science are sciences that attempt to explain social Phenomena, and some might try to use such explanations to understand societies or even shape the societies.

Successful or not is another story.

Pseudo means fake; but Pig think more importantly, it might be a good idea to spend some time to understand the concept of "Science".

Then, the selection of words to describe subjects that are outside of science is simply a matter of preference.
