Crayfish or Claw fish is a dangerous creature in clear water in Canada, if anyone who has seen it should report to the Environment Dept.
Crawfish, not Claw fish. and it's only dangerous because it quickly overpopulates in irrigation ditches and is a danger to freshwater fish habitats. This has nothing to do with the quality of crayfish meat. Similarly, chinese carp is also agressively taking over many rivers and lakes in North America it's now deemed as a pest.
"However, in some countries, due to their habit of grubbing throughbottom sediments for food and alteration of their environment, theydestroy, uproot and disturb submerged vegetation causing serious damageto native duck and fish populations. In Australia there is enormousanecdotal and mounting scientific evidence that introduced carp are thecause of permanent
turbidity and loss of submerged vegetation in the
Murray-Darling river system, with severe consequences for river ecosystems, water quality and native fish species." -- from
