It is a called Musket, using black powder.
The bullet is actually a lead ball without any gun powder.
You need to load the gun powder first, seperately, from the muzzle of the gun.
There is a stick, if you notice in the picture which is housed under the barrel in the picture, is used to push the gun power down into the barrel when loaded.
After loading the gun powder, you need to drop the lead ball (the bullet) into the barrel.
Since it is using black powder it will give out a lot of smoke when fired, quite fun.
This is the type of gun being used in Waterloo, if you watch the film.
Musket is invented around 14th century, until late 19th century when rifle is invented.
Musket ends the middle age Knight era since it can kill the heavy armoured Knights from a distance.
Like all firearm, you cannot find one in Wingon department store in Hong Kong.
