How do you explore business partners / distributors in Asia Pacific ?

Hello Big Brother,

Need to expand outside of HK. Can any one share what is the best way to search for potential distributors in a new territory, for example: China, Japan, Taiwan, etc ?

What business and area are you referring to?

The product is a niche product like a server.
How do you know the distributor is a committed one and if it will be a sucessfu promotor for my product?
If I know very little about the market lik China or Taiwan, how / where do I fing people who may be interested to carry my product in a short time frame? Obviously SME do not have a lot of time or travelling budget.
