This is the problems that discuss for a long long time already but without conclusion.
To be honest, the private pracitioner (GP) run a clinic actcually is not a easy matter. All the things need money and it is reasonable that he wish to get a reasonable reward int he business. The current policy not allowing the promotion activity has seirously affect the competivity of a clinic as nearly no one know you have establish a practice in the area.
This is a wrong concept that once the promotion is allowed, the market will be occupied by the large group practice. The reason is that doctor is providing service to the cliient and patient will choose the doctor he thinks suitable for him. The condition similar to hairdresser. U will find a stylist that he can make the style u like, whether he works in a small saloon in public estate or large saloon like espirit is not important. Am I right?
Also, the publlic will have ability to distinguish and digest the content of advertisement. This is naive that to ban idea of promotiion because afraid of misleading advertisement. The reason is simple: Misleading advertisment nearly happens everydays in every industry(Car selling, bank, cosmetics etc.)!!! Why don't ban all advertisement in all area??
