Buy Jiangxi Copper (0358.hk)

Jiangxi Copper (0358.hk) is now traded at $8.14/8.15. Recommend to buy. Short term target is at $9.21.

香港 (XFN-ASIA) - 瑞銀表示, 調高08及09年銅價預測, 故將江西銅業(358.HK)目標價由10.06調高至10.48港元, 維持「買入」評級。

瑞銀稱, 調低今年銅價預測8%, 由每磅3.25美元調降至3.0美元, 但調高08年銅價預測10%, 由每磅2.5美元調高至2.75美元。

瑞銀表示, 仍然深信亞洲市場今年供應緊張, 抵銷美國市場需求疲弱。瑞銀相信, 中國對銅需求今年將強勁, 主要由於存貨減低, 並將增加入口量, 另外, 內地電廠對銅需求仍然穩健。

瑞銀稱, 基於金屬價格變動, 調低江銅今年盈利預測18%, 由66.51億調低至54.62億人民幣, 但調高江銅08年盈利預測16%, 由43.15億調高至49.91億人民幣, 預期江銅今明兩年盈利表現穩定。

香港 (XFN-ASIA) - 高盛證券表示, 江西銅業(358.HK)基調良好, 加上估值吸引, 籲買入江銅, 將目標價調高9%, 至11.2港元, 現價較目標價潛在47%升幅。

高盛稱, 隨著銅價由去年頂峰調整34%後, 江銅股價已下跌17%, 並跑輸國企指數, 但認為該股基調良好, 並調高該公司今明兩年盈利預測39%及112%, 反映該行對銅價預測作出調整, 預期上半年平均銅價每鎊2.78美元, 下半年上升至3.4美元, 較現價2.58美元, 分別上升8%及32%。

高盛表示, 尚有多項正面催化劑利好該公司, 近期庫存量下降, 內地對銅需求上升, 全球供應受損將持續至今年, 亦利好銅價表現。

The trading price of copper in LME has turned stable recently. It has dropped a lot in the past 6 months, and this affected 347 and curbed its price below $8/share for sometime. It is noted that there has been strong support of the copper at above US3500/tonne. Although copper stock was reported increase in LME, it was also said that China placed strong buy of copper recently. Perhaps, it is time to buy Jiang Xi Copper 347 now.

Resources stocks are moving up a lot! Gold was near to US$690 this week.

i prefer nickel over copper because nickel prices are at least 3 times higher than that of copper and the price of nickel has just broke the $20 mark with a 5 year low nickel storage http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/nickel_historical.html , http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/copper_historical.html
i brought 2 nickel stocks in january and i hv 50% gain in both already hehe

It is normal for 358 to adjust downwards after the 8% up yesterday, especially when the whole market falls. I would however think that 358 will pick up the rise soon. My belief is that price of copper has reached the bottom line and it will steadily go up.
