OFFICIAL OFFICER 中文應該點譯呢 ?

OFFICIAL OFFICER 中文應該點譯呢 ?

好多時候都用 "官方" 或 "官員", 如果你 某大機構o既 human resource officer 用 "人事部官員" 就絕對有問題. 第一佢唔係 public servant, 第二 佢可以是一個好低級o既 clerk.

而 official 我覺得如果唔係用在政府或政治上, 用官方又很不對勁. 如果用 "正式" 或 "直屬" 黎形容可能會好d.

想聽下其他網友意見.

 officer部队的军官,official政府官员 an army officer
   officer=n.官员;干事;军官 official=a.官员的;官方的

个人感觉officer是文职,两个的具体翻译要看语言环境了.

thnak you!

呢個英文字o既意思在 longman字典係

officer
1. a person in a position of command in the armed forces
2. a person who holds a position of some importance, in government, a business, or a group
3. a policeman

official 1
a person who holds an office

official2
adjestive of, about, or from a position of trust, power, and responsibility

Collins concise
Officer
(noun)
1. person in the armed services who holds a position of responsibility, authority and duties
2. Policeman / Policewomen
3. a person appointed or elected to a position  of responsibility or authority in a government, society, organization
4. a person authorized to serve as master or mate of a vessel
5. a government offical
6. in British  Empire, a member of grade below commander
(Verb transitive)
7. to furnish with officer
8. to act as an officer over some section, group, organization

Official
(adjective)
1. of or relating to an office, its administration, or its duration
2. sanctioned by, organiszed by, or derived from authority
3. having formal ceremonial character
(noun)
4. a person holds a position in an organization, government department, especially an subordinate postion

I don't know where did you come across this term, but I think it seems to be inappropriate as the term "officer" has already indicated its official status...

So you may use 官方代表...

I feel "Official Website" shouldn't be translated as  "官方網站". A private company should never crown itself as "government".

"Official released photos" 好多時都係譯官方發放照片, 如果係 mercedes benz slr o既相呢. german government 德國官方 會代 mercedes 發放照片嗎 ???

Actually, the term "official" or "官方" are not merely used by government nowadays, and in English official have no implication for its governmental background...

Probably there are no other better term than 官方 to represent "official", so even private companies are using "官方網站" to represent the websites produced on their own, not the one by the fans...

officer = 主任

official = 公司 (if it is a company)
thank you, 人事部主任, 公司發佈照片, 公司網頁.... There is plenty of multifunction, multiple meaning English words in the book, if we only take on meaning for translating into Chinese (without thinking in depth), could cause disaster
