Very often, when I try to inform my Brothers what I pay and what I get.....
we have to keep in mind one thing - that is YMMV ( your mileage may vary)
When I get discount, better and perferred services, that  is because of the rapport and  established friendship which takes time to develop.
It is just  like the frequent flyer program, you get reward milage either Aeroplan, Airmile, or whatever.

Exactly, YMMV, there was a girl who gave me discount after my couple visits. She told me if I would come back next time she would give me discount, then I asked how much would the discount be, she goes..."5 9 折". If you speak cantonese, you should know what it means, it means, 5 (NO) 9 (dick) discount, means no freaking discount.....We both laughed.

I saw this in the Fairchild TV news too.

How come they do this in such a high profile.
