The Brave One, starring Jodi Foster, has an old story line, but told and depicted in a realistic updated manner. Jodi's acting helps of course. It is not easy to imagine the horror of being tormented by strangers, just walking in a public park. One cannot imagine, unless experienced first hand, how such an event can transform one's personality or his/her view of life.
This movie gives this unique perspective. At times, I thought the director is stretching time, but he may want to emphasize the drama in the situation. Although the storyline is quite predicable, but I do applaud the ending.
This is not quite a 5 star rating movie, but at least a 4 star.
