Just wanted to give a brief account of what had really happened:
The junior go with his schoolmate and just wanted to have a look of how casinos operate. While looking people gamble (in the public halls), someone said that they are marketing executives and wanted the two of them to help out in filling out a questionnaire (and a surprise gift will be offered as a return). The junior was so innocent that true personal information were entered including place of residence and occupation background of his parents (run a family own business). After filling out the questionnaire, the two of them are escorted by 4 individuals (each) to upper floors (VIP rooms) saying that their will collect gifts. The two already sensed something is wrong but due to being held "hostage", they can't do anything and fear was growing every minute.
In the VIP room, they were told that winning is very easy and they were offered chips to gamble. The junior being more better off, were offered a higher amount (HK$10K) while his schoolmate were less. They never touched the money (chips) and bets were placed by their "representatives". After a few rounds, they were told they had lost and needed to sign an IOU note. Under pressure and fear, they signed it and what happened was history.
It was later found out that:
1) The IOU note is unenforceable since it is uncleared as to who lent the money (a smart move by the bandits since if caught, the IOU can't be used against them)
2) Video can proof the bet were not made by the juniors and money never crossed hands, the loan is illegal even if they are not juniors.
3) Contract with juniors is of course questionable.
4) A lot of such incidents were reported and the usual victims were young lads, old man/woman and innocent housewives.
So, like a lot of C Hing said, the best way is to report to the police.
Thank you everyone.
