How Teenagers Spend their Spare Time


In this report ,we are going to understand the differences lifestyle between Hong Kong and New York ,do they live in a healthy way?
The results of the investigation into abilities of student in various countries, with conclusions and a recommendation .

According to the finding ,Hong Kong students spare time / week around 25 hours ,while New York students are 40 hours,
It is worth noting that Hong Kong students playing online games is their most activity,
while New York students enjoy going out with friends.

In contrast to this, doing spare-time voluntary work they are quite similar. Hong Kong students 12% and New York students 25%.
Results also showed that average 6.5 sleeping hours for Hong Kong
,This is probably because they spent average 50 hours for school and homework ,compared to Hong Kong students , New York students ,only spent 30 hours at school and 5 hours on homework, Consequently, they can spent average 8.5 hours for rest .


To conclude, emphasis on examination results had become the biggest problem of Hong Kong's educational system, negligence in developing students' personal attributes ,In contrast to Hong Kong,
New York provided students with an all-round education,, to develop social future

It is strongly recommended that Government should put more resources in education ,
the professional commitment by the teaching staff, the enormous range of resources available in the schools, both for academic and practical subjects as well as the sports facilities, students could approach their education in a more active

Introduction
Hong Kong's urban area is due to a lack of available sprawl space,due to limited land supply.
This lack of space causing demand for dense
Land available for housing development more less
choose the living environment has become a lot of main problem
Nowadays, Hong Kong locals have a high living standard. However, is it really true to other Foreigners?
And, where do they think is the best ? Hence, we are doing this survey to find out the answer.
In this report, we aimed to survey interviewee’s views about the living environment.
We only looked at the difference between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Side living environment and quality.

The data is based on analysis of the responses to the Survey report which was collected by a Street interview at February 23, 2009.  There were eight responses received and utilized for this report.  
Respondents are from a diverse geographical area.  
and the information is about the survey method, data analysis and also summarizes to give out some findings and recommendations.

Findings
Q1 Where do you prefer to live in hk ?
Hong Kong Island 62.5%
Kowloon Side 12.5%
Latau Island 25 %
As a warm up, all respondents were first asked to assess the
best place For living in Hong Kong
Results revealed that 62.5% of the respondents prefer to live in Hong Kong Island & 25% select Latau Island Almost no one like living in Kowloon Side

Q2 How Healthy or unhealthy would you say Hong Kong Island living environment is ?
Very healthy

Most people consider hong kong island living environment is healthy ,only few people (less than 12.5%) disagree

However,still one interviewees think they are similar

There are two different type were put to test. For the sake of direct comparison, a mean score analysis was conducted by assigning a score of "3" to "highest  score" down to "3" for "low score
Results showed that Nearly all are People are satisfied

Shopping paradise 25%

Regarding the main reason living in Hong Kong Island
,The findings were quite similar, Results showed that amongst all the available reason "Shopping paradise ,international financial centre
restaurants ,good environment "all of them are considered

Q6 Is transportation very convenient in Kowloon Side ?

It was observed that over 75% of the
people denied that transportation convenient in Kowloon Side

Q7 which of the following two options would you consider more suitable for the kowloon side ?

In this round of the survey, asked how would they consider
which public facilities more suitable for the kowloon side, In categorical terms,the respondents supported providing more museums and Cultural facilities + leisure  
However,still one-four claimed does not matter at all

This survey is very disappointing,An overwhelming majority  of respondents said kowloon is overcrowd and  filthy

Results also showed that they concerned about air pollution opinions are identical.

Q 11 Do you think kowloon side has sufficient open space and green parks in the urban area for healthy living ?

nearly half (50%) of them said in terms of open space and green parks in the urban Kowloon side area is Quite insufficient
, the respondents' views were equally divided, 25% thought Very sufficient, while 25% thought Very insufficient

It is generally agrees that Yau tsim Mong is the best part
in Hong Kong, Despite this ,Sham shui po Still attractive for
some of foreigners
Q 13 Can you suggest some improvements on the environment of Hong kong Isalnd ?

The last question in this section asked people to suggest some idea to improvement on Hong Kong Island
Interviewees had many different options ,here are the suggestion  On average they referred to four to five different idea

,Light pollution,providing more open space and green parks, including promenades, walking and cycling trails"respectively, while some one objected to "commercial and residential development"..

Profile of respondents
Men made up 62.5 % of this surveyed  which, 50 % were below 50 years of age, while
12.5 % were aged between 20 and 35. In terms of women, all (37.5%) of the
interviewees were over 35 years of age

Among all foreigners surveyed, around two-thirds (64.7%) were employed and more than a
quarter (28.8%) were home-makers or retirees.

Conclusion

As illustrated from the survey findings,
, majority of the respondents think that Hong Kong is a Clean,Well-designed and
healthy place for living ,may life in hong kong Island is many thing but boring is definitely not one, everything you could want can be found in Hong Kong Island, from shopping to cinema, numerous restaurants serving food from the World over to the Worlds finest hotels.

In spite of this, more people considered about the light  pollution,they doesn't like commercial and residential development.Moreover if development promenades, walking and cycling trails, most people would support it.

Besides, as compared to kowloon side ,there is one immutable fact about living in there ....overcrowded .It's one of the most densely populated places in the World and naturally, this is reflected in the very high price of land.In addition, most of the people have negative responses on the urban development  and pollution ,Notwithstanding this general preference,yau tsim mong
is the best part they like

Recommendations
We can save energy through incorporating green building features and the use of energy efficiency technologies and products, thus achieving sustainability.
Greening can beautify our environment, especially in a densely populated city like Hong Kong where trees and shrubs provide freshness, beauty, comfort and elegance for our enjoyment. It can improve the urban living conditions and enhance the quality of our lives
The use of natural ventilation and lighting can reduce energy consumption for air-conditioning, ventilation and lighting in buildings. Many of the renewable energy sources are free and inexhaustible, offering greener resources and economically viable options.
To enable and encourage the rehabilitation of dilapidated buildings to prevent urban decay;
To preserve by maintaining and restoring buildings of historical and architectural value, and to sustain local characteristics;
