大家對美國陸軍160th SOAR 特戰飛行隊 MH6 Little Bird 小鳥直昇機一定不會陌生, 在電影[Black Hwak Bown]已看過了.

MH6 Little Bird 小鳥直昇機是由越戰時期 OH-6 Cayuse 輕型觀測直昇機演變來, 當年是採用著名商用直昇機公司休斯MD500 民用輕型直昇機改裝成OH-6 Cayuse . 因為機身細比較其他直昇機靈活, 高性能，低噪音，其四旋機翼小尺寸速度快, 聲浪低, 又能快速進出狹窄空間.
因1980年4月拯救伊朗人質失的鷹爪行動失敗, 當時在進入伊朗的前進加油站時,兩架海軍陸戰隊的CH-54直昇機相撞以外使整個拯救人質行動取消. 因此國防部特別成立160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) 160特戰航空團,作為特種部隊專用載運任務, OH-6 Cayuse 是其中一種直昇機為160th SOAR採用, 經改裝加設簡單裝甲防護及提升動力,加航電設備成為MH-6 Little Bird 小鳥特戰專用直昇機.

請首先了解 AH-6 只是 160 SOAR 美國陸軍的特戰航空團, 其中一種直昇機, 沒有其他單位用的,

160th SOAR 只是運載特種部隊攻擊用的, AH-6 的特性是噪音極低, 靈活快速同特別以低空進入

主要活動是黑夜, 有突襲的效果, 合適城鎮戰鬥使用, 已經用了十多年.

一般行動時, 載人的 3/4架 AH-6 縱列進入, (每機4人, 正是特戰小隊的12/16人) 後面兩旁

是兩架AH-6的攻擊直昇機, 作火力支援的, 配有 mini-gun及2.5火箭, 武器射程2000米,

而一般AK47的有效射程是3/400米, 所以足以達到火力壓制的效果.
