I still haven't read the book yet, but when I first learned about this book, I have found it very attractive already (both the title and the myth about Chairman Mao).

I read of some reviewed on it, but the reviews are mainly writting from a western point of view, so most of the so-called myths that interested to western readers are not really that mysterious.

At least, as of today, I still have not convinced myself to pick it up from the bookstore yet.

So if anyone has some input on this, I would like to learn about them too.

Hi all,

Personally I don't find the book is all that good as a lot of stories were not secret anymore and the author put in quite a lot of her subjective comments on it.

Honestly, it's quite a disappointment if you want to find out something new about Mao. If you're interested in Mao, you would have known all of those stories from documentary or other books already. Unless you particularly desire to find out what does the author thinks about Mao because she had some contact with him.

Please share more thoughts if anyone has any.
你今日好醒目喎,識得睇好0野。
