Bro Taurus,

On pre-opening period, the condition is not so good. Even after soft opening there would be a lot of touch up work carry on.

However, we will do our best to all customers. (They are our BOSS)

What do you mean by "soft opening" ?

It appears that we are still short of hotel rooms in HK even though HK Govt. issued warning to hotel operators not to trade in hotel rooms in coming 'October-1st golden week" after some opportunists burnt their fingers at previous golden week.

My Beloved Bro Taurus,

New hotel started its project on construction, design, fitting out…. many and many process. After “Turn Key” to management hotel G.M. will be fully in-charge of the property.

By then, we will open a number of rooms/floors and outlets to kick off. (So call soft opening or trial run). Associates will work together and fine tuning the operation and from time to time having review. Hotel will start her income at that day.

Big boss/ owner will select a day for Grand Opening afterward, but some hotels will make it on the same day.

When I joined this industry at 70’s, there were around 37 hotels in town. But now is 103 instead and still growing. Government, HKTB, HKHA did made great affords in developing our Tourism hope we can look forward for a good return soonest.

well... i wouldn't say so, the best locations were assigned for profit making purposes...
as for staff... our offices usually located on the basement levels...

i remember, i've seen a grown up adult sitting in a super-tiny working station at a deluxe 5-star hotel (the one that has many "fans"...)...
that small desk was just slightly bigger than those we used at high school... can u imagine?
it's not only inconvenience for work, but can be harmful to employees' health!!

my boss just told me... not to expect slowing down even after the opening...
the show will just begin when our doors open to the public...
then, it'll be our real show time!!
it's my 1st hotel opening experience... wanna make it a real remarkable one!!
still need to work even harder!!!

Slow down and don't "kill" yourself just to satisfy your boss (who will never be 100% happy anyway). I always try to take things easy and delegate. We only have 1 life each so try to live it on your agenda, not your company's!

Fully understood

don't worry... my boss' been extremely good to us and he always care about our health!!
it's just that... it's not his own goal to make a real success... but ours!!
well... i do know how to balance off the stress... tmr nite... we'll have a fellows wild nite out!!!
